What is unbelievable to most people is that over 98% of the manufacturing of fireworks is still done by hand. This page contains photos of our visits to the factories.

This is Mo Shan. We first met this beautiful little girl last year when we visited this factory while adopting our daughter. At that time she was 6 mos. old. She had been left at the gate of the factory as a newborn. This factory is co-owned by a man from Australia and he has been trying to adopt her since she was found. When we arrived at the factory, we asked about her. They told us she had not yet been adopted. The women got her all dressed up before they brought her out to see us. After our visit, we contacted the Australian and let him know if he was unable to complete the adoption, we would like to try to add Mo Shan to our family. Although she has been in his family's hearts for over a year; they have determined it will be impossible for them to adopt her due to the laws of their country. So, we are hastily preparing a dossier, hoping to bring Mo Shan home quickly. This is obviously a very unusual situation, and there is no guarantee it will work out, but we are hoping for the best! (#4569-16a) Postscript 10/99 - We just arrived home with our new daughter - MoShan! Now known as Samantha. |
