THE 1998 ORPHANAGE GIFT

Before we left on our trip, several families sent photos of their children for Mrs. Yu and also donated towards a gift for the orphanage. This page contains photos of buying that gift.

Mrs. Yu decided that the orphanage would like a dryer; she had priced them at around $2600 USD. We couldn't image why a dryer would be so expensive. As you can see, this was no ordinary dryer!

Mrs. Yu, counting out money for the deposit. It's amazing how much money $1000 USD is in yuan! (#4565-6a) Betsy Egan, Yu Hong Ying, and Pat Egan in front of the dryer. Hong Ying is holding the certificate with the names of all contributers. (#4565-2a)
